Confinement : les bons gestes pour protéger sa santé et celle de ses proches
Les mesures de confinement sont nécessaires pour endiguer la propagation du coronavirus. Le but du confinement est de limiter les interactions sociales qui sont le premier vecteur de la transmission du virus. Des personnes asymptomatiques ou ayant peu de symptômes peuvent transmettre le virus et participer à sa propagation. Or ce virus présente des risques notamment pour la population sensible et les hôpitaux ne seront pas en mesure de faire face à un nombre de cas augmentant en permanence (cas de pénuries, manque de lits, manque de personnel médical…).

La qualité d’air et les surfaces :
Être confiné chez soi implique d’être encore plus vigilant sur la qualité d’air. Les consignes d’aérer son habitat au moins 2 fois par jour (le matin et le soir principalement) sont absolument à respecter, pas d’inquiétude, il n’y a pas de risque de contamination par le coronavirus car il ne se transmet pas par l’air (même si une étude qui n’a pas encore été revue et publiée formellement montre que des microgouttelettes pouvaient rester en suspension dans l’air durant 3h cependant cela ne montre pas pour autant que le virus est transmissible par l’air). De même après avoir cuisiné ou fait du sport en intérieur, aérer permet de réduire les particules fines et d’autres polluants. Les « purifications de l’air » avec de l’encens ou des huiles essentielles sont à tout prix à éviter car cela génère beaucoup de pollution intérieure (particules fines mauvaises pour les voies respiratoires…) et leurs propriétés purifiantes ne sont absolument pas démontrées.
Concernant les surfaces, il a été retrouvé des traces de coronavirus dans les selles ce qui peut être à l’origine de contamination des toilettes, éviers et autres surfaces en contact avec des mains souillées. Il est donc important de bien respecter les mesures d’hygiène et de nettoyer son habitat et objets (sans oublier les poignées des portes, interrupteurs, téléphone, souris, clavier d’ordinateur…), les produits de nettoyage tels que l’eau de javel ou le savon sont efficaces pour éliminer le virus. Il est important de bien aérer pendant et après le nettoyage.
La contamination par la nourriture (source Anses)
Une éventuelle transmission par un aliment implique nécessairement la contamination de cet aliment par un malade ou une personne infectée par le virus, lors de sa manipulation ou de la préparation du repas. Dans ce contexte, tout type d’aliment peut être concerné (produits animaux, produits végétaux). Par analogie avec d’autres coronavirus connus, ce virus est sensible aux températures de cuisson. Ainsi, un traitement thermique à 64°C pendant 4 min (température utilisée en liaison chaude en restauration collective) permet de diviser par 10 000 la contamination d’un produit alimentaire.
Une personne infectée peut contaminer les aliments en les préparant ou en les manipulant avec des mains souillées (virus détecté dans les matières fécal), ou en les exposant à des gouttelettes infectieuses lors de toux et d’éternuements. Appliquées correctement, les bonnes pratiques d’hygiène sont une manière efficace de prévenir la contamination des denrées alimentaires par le virus SARS-CoV-2.
D’après de récentes études il a été découvert que le virus survit environ 24h sur du carton et 2 ou 3 jours sur du plastique ou de l’acier inoxydable (cependant survie ne veut pas forcément dire transmission). Il est donc important de bien se laver les mains après manipulation des emballages alimentaires et préparer à manger sur des surfaces propres. La contamination par les objets ne semble cependant pas être un vecteur important de transmission du virus.
L’eau du robinet :
Il n’y a pas de risque de contamination de l’eau potable. L’eau en France est protégée contre ce virus comme elle l’est contre toute menace biologique. L’eau subit plusieurs étapes de traitements, dits traitements « multibarrières ». Ces traitements permettent d’éliminer tous les virus, dont le coronavirus. L’eau est sûre, très contrôlée, et en France il est garanti un haut niveau de sécurité sanitaire de l’eau produite. L’eau du robinet peut être consommée sans aucun risque pour la santé.
L’alimentation et la sédentarité
Confinement semble rimer avec sédentarité. Il est important de bien respecter le confinement et de ne pas aller faire du sport dans un espace public où d’autres sportifs pourraient le faire. Mais il est aussi important de rester actif pour sa santé. Faire le ménage/jardiner est déjà une bonne façon de bouger mais il est aussi possible de bouger chez soi en suivant des cours de sports/dance/zumba par internet (YouTube, chaîne télé rediffusé…) ou via des applications mobiles, des bouteilles d’eau peuvent déjà faire de bons haltères !
De plus, être moins actif implique une dépense énergétique moindre donc son alimentation est à adapter aussi pendant le confinement, c’est-à-dire manger équilibré et varié (pas seulement des pâtes et du riz). Il est important de consommer des légumes, légumineuses et des fruits (les formes surgelées et en boîtes de conserve peuvent se garder longtemps si vous ne voulez/pouvez pas sortir trop souvent pour acheter des produits frais donc pas d’excuses). Garder une alimentation riche en fruits, légumes, graines (sésame, lin, chia…) condiment/épices (ail, oignon, cornichon, curcuma, poivre, cannelle…), produits fermentés (choux, yaourt, kéfir, skyr, miso, tempeh…) et légumineuses (pois chiche, pois cassé, lentilles…) permet de faire le plein :
- en vitamines,
- en minéraux,
- en probiotique (bactéries exerçant un effet positif sur la santé et présentes dans votre intestin)
- en prébiotiques (« nourriture » de votre microbiote intestinal)
Ils permettent de garder une flore intestinale au top et prévenir les risques pour la santé (autre que le coronavirus malheureusement).
Les médicaments :
L’administration de médicaments anti-inflammatoires pourrait avoir des effets indésirables chez les malades du coronavirus. « La prise d’anti-inflammatoires (ibuprofène, cortisone…) pourrait être un facteur d’aggravation de l’infection. En cas de fièvre, prenez du paracétamol. Cependant pour les personnes suivant un traitement spécifique et n’ayant pas de symptômes il ne faut pas arrêter son traitement.
